Hyderabad: Telugu actor Uday Kiran has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself. He was 33.The actor was reportedly alone at his home in Hyderabad when he allegedly hanged himself.
"On late Sunday night, Uday Kiran was found hanging from the ceiling in his flat in Srinagar colony. His wife Vishita and some neighbours rushed him to Jubilee Hills Apollo hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival," a police official said.
He had also received many awards for his work, including Filmfare.
In October last year, Mr Kiran had married his long-time friend Vishita. In 2003, he was engaged to actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi's daughter, but the marriage was called off for unknown reasons.
His last film, Jai Sriram, had released in April last year. He had also recently signed a project titled Dhil Kabbadi.
