If we clearly analyze the ongoing train accidents, almost all the fire accidents are related to fire in AC coaches. Who is responsible for such accidents? The root cause of the accidents is the lack of proper maintenance, undoubtedly. The poor insulation of the cables used for internal wiring is the main reason for the increased number of fire accidents in trains or otherwise.

In general, the AC bogies are fully covered with closed windows and curtains. Nobody is aware of the outside happenings. More so, all these accidents are caused in the nights or early hours when people are in deep sleep. Short circuit is the major reason for the accidents. The reports submitted by the experts after the investigations are simply gathering dust in the record rooms. No preventive action has been taken, as a lesson learnt from the previous accidents.

Who is to be blamed - the railways authorities or the technicians? As far as the technicians are concerned, they are of the opinion that poor quality of cables are being supplied for both internal and external wiring, which is likely to lead for the accidents. Corruption has erupted in every sector and railways are not an exception. Corruption turns to be the root cause of all evils. It’s everyone’s duty to fight against corruption.
