Hyderabad, In a shocking and tragic incident, well known actor Uday Kiran committed suicide in the wee hours of Monday in his Hyderabad residence. According to reports, he called his friends and informed them about his decision and before they could respond, he disconnected the call. When they tried calling back, they didn't get any response.

The incident took place at about 2:24 am, Monday, in his house in Srinagar colony. His friends rushed to his home, and found him hanging from the fan. They immediately rushed him to Apollo hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival. The reason for the suicide is yet to ascertained, but rumours have it that he was bogged down with family problems.

The suicide sent shock waves across the industry, with many actors, including Tarun,Srikanth,Aryan Rajesh, among others rushing to Apollo to pay their respects.

Kiran was born on June 26, 1980. He acted as the hero in a number of hits which included Chitram,Sriram,Nuvvu Nenu Manasanta Nuvve. He also acted in Tamil film, Paai, directed by Balachander. For Nuvvu Nenu Manasanta Nuvve, he also received the best actor award.
