Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s bouncer at Civil Supplies Minister D Sridhar Babu by taking away Legislative Affairs seems to have alerted the Congress high command. Sources say that the Congress leadership has been caught off guard with this latest development.

As a result, it is planning to hit back at Kiran very strongly. Though a Chief Minister can allot or divest portfolios of his ministers, the timing of this action against Sridhar Babu hailing from Telangana just two days before the Assembly session being reconvened has evoked controversy and criticism from Telangana leaders.

Sources say that the high command has passed instructions to Governor E S L Narsimhan not to clear any file regarding the change of portfolio of Sridhar Babu even as Sridhar Babu declared that he will not be assuming charge Commercial Taxes Ministry.

Well it is interesting to see how this tit for tat which has picked up pace would end up eventually and what will happen to AP? In a way Kiran must be aware of the consequences and still he has gone ahead with his decision.
