At a meeting reportedly aimed at showcasing their joint action committee cadets, students of Osmania University have announced that they will be marching to the state legislative assembly ahead of the 2014 general and state elections.
Sources say that thousands of students from across the Telangana region would participate in the rally on January 7 with student leaders saying it is high time that political parties give them their due share in electoral politics and not mere acknowledgement of their efforts for Telangana formation.

It is being said that each of the 17 Lok Sabha constituency leaders will be leading the rally on January 7 and they will also reportedly take the help of the respective assembly constituency leaders to mobilize students for the rally.
Sources say leaders of OU-Telangana Students Joint Action Committee who have been promised tickets by political parties for both Lok Sabha and Assembly polls by major parties!
