Analysts say that the congress high command had orchestrated the Sridhar Babu episode to its advantage and to put speed brake on CM Kiran Kumar Reddy's seemingly rebel move on Telangana Bill. The Congress and opposition leadership asked D Sridhar Babu not to quit over his tussle with Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy having divested him of the legislative affairs portfolio but Sridhar Babu was advised differently by the AICC official R.C. Kunthia who had rushed to Hyderabad today

The central leader advised Babu to not to take any hasty step as this could stall the debate over the Telangana bill in the state assembly, scheduled to start tomorrow party sources said. Immediately after landing in Hyderabad, the AICC secretary called on senior minister from Telangana K.Jana Reddy. He later met Sridhar Babu and urged him to drop his plans to quit in vain.

Several ministers and party leaders from Telangana met Kunthia and complained against the 'undemocratic' action of the chief minister. Kiran Reddy who had arbitrarily removed Sridhar Babu of the legislative affairs portfolio and handed it to Primary Education Minister S.Sailajanath, who hailed from Seemandhra and strongly opposed to formation of a separate Telangana state.
